Its My Journey

The Upper State Independent Music Award has nominated me for R&B Female Category. To help us win the award all you need to do is visit : Http://www.usiawards.com and cast in your vote for artist ALMA V. You only need to do this one time. We won the award back in 2008- and this was only possible because we got a lot of support from people who voted for me and my team. Hopefully we can take the award home once again. Would appreciate your support!!!

This is my very first directed and edited music video. I am very excited and also aware of my endless possibilities. It happened just like that, at a snap of a finger. I wondered why not make a music video so people can better understand the feel behind the music? Why should I have to wait for a professional to handle my business, when I can easily put my hands on it and see if I am capable of creating good imaging that will portray my feelings in a video? I never doubted myself so I went ahead and just did it. The video, as I would describe it, is very simple yet projects my inner feelings. I am loving it so far because while a lot of artists tend to sing every second of the song in their music videos, I headed into a whole different direction. I'm not into trends nor do I like to duplicate what has already been done time and time again. I like to stay on the side of my street and do what works for AlmaV . The video is coming very soon and I hope you all enjoy it.  ...

One of the official tracks for the album! AVAMUSICPRODUCTIONS 2011

"Get to know" artist Y.A. From the minute I met this young and talented artist, I knew he had much to offer. The first time I saw him perform I was in awe. Young and full of energy, he will have you at the edge of your seat with his animated stage presence! Lyrically, he can positively be in the range of any signed act. He is what I would define as a RAW talent. How Long have you been doing music? Y.A: Ive been doing music for tweleve years, sine I was eight years old. What inspired you to pursue a music career? Y.A:  Three people, Biggie Smalls, Jay-Z, and DMX. I found out I had talent for music after listening to them. How did these artists spark up your talent in which you felt confident knowing that you possessed such musical talents? Y.A : I remember every word they said, they spoke with passion about their lives. At that paticular time I was going through [some] things. Inspite of my age, I was a very mature child that had problem...

Here is a quick interview with Artist B.L.O . CEO of  Bomb Baby Unlimited . I have personally known this artist a little over six years now. It was something as simple as us liking the old school teen duo Kris Kross that  automatically linked us. As further down the road we would participate in same artist's showcases. I was fortunate to see this young artist develop his craft. I must say, a lot of unsigned artists can rock as hard if not harder than some signed acts (in my very own opinion) Get to know artist BLO: What is the meaning behind your name (BLO)? Originally it was an acronym for Bust Lyrics Outstanding, but over time I got better & got a lil more confident now it stands for the Best Lyricist Out. What kind of music and artists did you listen to growing up? I'm an 80s baby so I listened to a lil bit of everything. Rap, R&B, Pop, Rock, House. You name it. Micheal, Whitney, Janet, Cindi Lauper, Aerosmith, ...

Hubby and I were jamming to this song yesterday!!! Good times :D
